    Botox & Neuromodulators

What should I expect during a Botox appointment?

Your visit begins with a personalized consultation to discuss your concerns and design a treatment plan. The procedure takes about 15-30 minutes using a very fine needle with minimal discomfort. Pricing starts at $10/unit for Nuceiva and $12/unit for Botox or Xeomin.

How long do Botox results last?

Initial results appear in 3-5 days, with full results visible in 10-12 days. Results typically last 3-4 months on average. Regular treatments can help maintain results and may reduce the amount needed over time.

Who is a good candidate for Botox?

Good candidates are those bothered by fine lines caused by facial expressions, wanting a non-surgical anti-aging option, interested in preventative treatments, and in good general health.

What are the risks of Botox treatment?

Common temporary side effects include mild bruising, swelling, or redness at injection sites. Rare complications like eyelid drooping can occur but are minimized with an experienced physician like Dr. Kumar.

    Who should avoid Botox?

Botox should be avoided by those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have neuromuscular disorders, are allergic to botulinum toxin, or have infection at the proposed injection site.

What is the difference between Botox, Nuceiva, and Xeomin?

All three are neuromodulators that work similarly. Botox is the most well-known brand. Nuceiva is a newer option often priced more affordably. Xeomin is a 'naked' neurotoxin without additives, which may reduce the chance of developing resistance.

    Can Botox prevent wrinkles?

Yes, preventative Botox can help delay the formation of deep wrinkles by relaxing muscles before static lines form. Many patients in their late 20s and 30s choose preventative treatments.

    Dermal Fillers

What should I expect during a dermal filler appointment?

Your appointment begins with a personalized consultation to discuss your goals. Treatment involves precise injections using fine needles or cannulas. Most treatments take 30-60 minutes with minimal discomfort thanks to topical numbing.

How long do dermal filler results last?

Results are immediate and typically last 6-18 months depending on the type of filler used and the treatment area. Lip fillers usually last 6-12 months, while cheek fillers can last 12-18 months.

Who is a good candidate for dermal fillers?

Good candidates include those experiencing volume loss in the face, wanting to enhance lips or cheeks, seeking to smooth deep lines or folds, and those in good general health looking for non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

What are the risks of dermal filler treatment?

Common temporary side effects include redness, swelling, and bruising at injection sites. More serious but rare complications can be minimized by choosing a qualified physician injector like Dr. Kumar.

    Who should avoid dermal fillers?

Fillers should be avoided by those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin infections or inflammation in the treatment area, have a history of severe allergies, or have certain autoimmune conditions.

What areas can be treated with fillers?

Common treatment areas include lips, cheeks, under eyes (tear troughs), jawline, chin, nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, temples, and hands.

What is the difference between Sculptra and Radiesse?

Sculptra results appear gradually over months and last 2+ years. Radiesse provides immediate volume plus collagen stimulation, lasting 1-2 years. Both are biostimulatory fillers that encourage your body to produce collagen.

    Thread Lifts

How does a thread lift work?

The procedure involves applying local anesthetic, then strategically placing specialized Aptos threads beneath the skin. The threads are manipulated to lift tissues and improve areas of concern, while also stimulating natural collagen and elastin production for long-lasting results.

Who is a good candidate for thread lifts?

Thread lifts are best suited for individuals between 30 and 55 with mild to moderate aging signs including mild drooping of the skin, loss of skin volume and elasticity, sagging jawline, cheeks or brows, fine lines and wrinkles, or facial asymmetry.

What is the difference between a thread lift and a facelift?

A thread lift is minimally invasive with minimal recovery time, providing subtle to moderate lifting and a natural refreshed appearance. A facelift is a surgical procedure with extended recovery but offers more dramatic, longer-lasting results. Dr. Kumar will help determine the best choice for your goals.

How long do thread lift results last?

With Aptos threads made from PLA+PCL materials, results typically last 3-5 years. The procedure takes about 60-90 minutes with minimal downtime.

What are the after-effects of a thread lift?

Temporary after-effects may include mild pain or discomfort, mild swelling or bruising, and temporary asymmetry or dimpling. Preparation includes avoiding blood thinners like aspirin and Vitamin E for 1 week prior.

What areas can be treated with thread lifts?

Thread lifts can effectively treat cheeks, jowls, neck, brow, jawline, and body tissues.

    PRP, PRF & Mesotherapy

Can Mesotherapy and PRP be done together?

Yes, combining Mesotherapy with PRP can enhance results. The growth factors in PRP complement the vitamins and nutrients delivered through Mesotherapy, providing comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

How many PRP or PRF sessions are required?

Most patients benefit from a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Maintenance sessions every 6-12 months help sustain improvements. Dr. Kumar will create a personalized treatment plan based on your goals.

What is the difference between PRP and PRF?

Both use your own blood to promote healing. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is processed with anticoagulants and releases growth factors quickly. PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is processed without additives, forming a fibrin matrix that releases growth factors slowly over time for prolonged benefits.

What can PRP and PRF treat?

These regenerative treatments are effective for facial rejuvenation, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture and tone, treating acne scars, promoting hair growth for thinning hair, and enhancing overall skin quality.

    Is PRP treatment painful?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, and since PRP uses your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction.

How long does a PRP treatment take?

A PRP treatment session typically takes 45-60 minutes, including the blood draw, processing, and injection. The actual injection portion takes about 20-30 minutes depending on the treatment area.

    IV Vitamin Therapy

How often should I get IV vitamin therapy?

Treatment frequency depends on your individual needs and goals. Many patients benefit from monthly IV drips for maintenance, while those addressing specific deficiencies may need more frequent sessions initially. Dr. Kumar will recommend a schedule based on your health assessment.

How much does IV vitamin therapy cost?

Vitamin injections are $35 each for B12, D3, and MIC (Lipotropic) shots. IV drip therapies range from $150-$200, including Myers' Cocktail, Energy Boost, Immune Boost, and Vitamin C Skin Brightening. Glutathione Skin Infusion is $150. Lipolysis treatments start at $300.

What are the benefits of IV vitamins vs oral supplements?

IV administration bypasses the digestive system, allowing for 100% absorption compared to 20-50% with oral supplements. This means faster results, higher bioavailability, and more effective delivery of nutrients directly to your cells.

What IV therapy options are available?

We offer vitamin injections (B12, Vitamin D, Lipotropic/MIC), IV drips including Myers' Cocktail, Energy Boost, Immune Boost, Vitamin C Skin Brightening, and Glutathione Skin Infusion. We also offer Lipolysis (fat dissolving) treatments for body contouring.

How long does an IV therapy session take?

IV drip sessions take about 60 minutes. Vitamin injections like B12 shots are quick 15-minute appointments.

    Medical Treatments

    How does Botox treat migraines?

Botox is injected into specific points around the head and neck to block pain signals and reduce muscle tension that contributes to chronic migraines. Treatment typically reduces migraine frequency and severity when administered every 12 weeks.

Does Botox help with excessive sweating?

Yes, Botox is highly effective for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). When injected into the underarms, palms, or other affected areas, it blocks the nerve signals that trigger sweat glands, providing relief for 6-12 months per treatment.

How many PRP sessions are needed for osteoarthritis?

For osteoarthritis treatment, most patients benefit from a series of 3 PRP injections spaced 1-2 weeks apart. Results can last 6-12 months, with some patients experiencing relief for longer. Dr. Kumar will assess your condition and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.

Is medical Botox covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by insurance provider and specific medical condition. Botox for chronic migraines and hyperhidrosis may be covered under certain plans. We recommend checking with your insurance provider and can provide documentation to support your claim.

Can Botox help with TMJ pain?

Yes, Botox can effectively treat TMJ (temporomandibular joint) pain by relaxing the jaw muscles that contribute to clenching and grinding. Results typically last 3-4 months.

    Aftercare & Preparation

How should I prepare for Botox treatment?

Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 1 week prior to reduce bruising. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before. Arrive with clean skin without makeup on the treatment area.

What is the aftercare for lip fillers?

Avoid high temperatures, hot drinks, spicy foods, alcohol, and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours. Skip straws for one week. Apply cold compress to reduce swelling. Sleep with head elevated the first night.

What is the general aftercare for fillers?

Avoid touching or massaging the treated area, stay upright for several hours, skip intense heat and sun exposure, and avoid vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours.

    What is Botox aftercare?

Don't touch or massage treated areas for 24 hours. Remain upright for 4-6 hours. Avoid heavy exercise until the next day. Stay away from saunas and hot tubs for a couple of days.

When should I schedule treatment before an event?

For Botox, schedule 3-4 weeks before any special event to allow full effect and for any potential side effects to subside. For fillers, 2-4 weeks allows time for swelling to resolve and results to settle.

    Skin Concerns

What treatments help with wrinkles and fine lines?

Botox and other neuromodulators are the most popular treatment for dynamic wrinkles like forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. For deeper static lines, dermal fillers can restore lost volume and smooth creases. Microneedling and PRP also help by stimulating collagen production for gradual skin renewal.

How do you treat acne scars?

SkinPen microneedling is highly effective for acne scarring, as it stimulates your skin's natural repair process. For more stubborn scars, we may combine microneedling with PRP or PRF to accelerate healing. Chemical peels can also help with superficial scarring and post-acne pigmentation.

What can be done about dark circles and under-eye hollows?

Under-eye hollows (tear troughs) respond well to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, which restore volume and reduce the shadowed appearance. PRP treatments can also improve skin quality in the under-eye area. During your consultation, our team will assess whether fillers, PRP, or a combination is the best approach for your specific concern.

How do you treat sagging skin without surgery?

Thread lifts offer a non-surgical alternative to a facelift, using dissolvable threads to lift and tighten sagging skin. Biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse stimulate your own collagen production for gradual, long-lasting improvement. The best approach depends on the degree of laxity and your goals.

What treatments help with uneven skin texture?

SkinPen microneedling is excellent for improving overall skin texture by encouraging collagen remodeling. Chemical peels exfoliate dead skin cells and promote cell turnover for a smoother surface. PRP and mesotherapy deliver growth factors and nutrients directly to the skin for enhanced radiance and tone.

Can you help with brown spots and pigmentation?

Chemical peels and microneedling are both effective options for addressing hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and melasma. The right treatment plan depends on the type and depth of your pigmentation. We also recommend medical-grade skincare products from AlumierMD to help maintain results and prevent further pigmentation.

What options are there for lip enhancement?

Hyaluronic acid fillers like Revanesse and Teosyal are used to add volume, define the lip border, and improve symmetry. Our team takes a conservative approach, typically starting with 0.5 to 1 mL for a natural enhancement. You can always add more at a follow-up once you see how your lips settle.

How do you address facial volume loss?

Dermal fillers can restore volume to the cheeks, temples, jawline, and chin for a more youthful contour. Biostimulators like Sculptra work by stimulating your body's own collagen production over several months. During your consultation, our team will recommend the best approach based on the areas of concern and your desired outcome.
